The following procedure describes how to move an item by specifying the coordinates of its new position on the canvas, using the Input Coordinates dialog.
- On the ribbon, click View
> Canvas >
Input Coordinates.
The Input Coordinates dialog is displayed. - On the canvas, drag an item or highlight it and click Home > Move > Move on the ribbon.
- In the Input Coordinates dialog, select either Absolute or Relative in the Mode box.
- If Absolute is selected: set the X and Y coordinates of the new position of the item (with reference to the origin).
- If Relative is selected: set the X and Y coordinates of the new position of the item, relative to its original position.
- Click Apply in the Input Coordinates dialog. The item is moved to the specified position.
