Align 3D Model
A 3D model can be aligned to the footprint using the Align 3D Model dialog. Launch this dialog by clicking 3D Model > 3D Model > Align on the Footprint Editor ribbon.
Command dialog
The Align 3D Model dialog contains the following fields.
Footprint
Item | Description | |
---|---|---|
Origin | ON | Displays the reference point in the origin position (0,0) of the footprint. |
OFF | Does not display the reference point in the origin position (0,0) of the footprint. | |
Reference point of pin | ON | Displays the reference point on a pin on the footprint. |
OFF | Does not display the reference point on a pin on the footprint. | |
Center point of area fill | ON | Displays the reference point in the center point of the area
of an object (padstack, pad, area, or slot hole) on the footprint. For an area, the reference points are displayed in the position corresponding to the lower limit and the upper limit, respectively. |
OFF | Does not display the reference point in the center point of the area of an object (padstack, pad, area, or slot hole) on the footprint. | |
Center point of arc | ON | Displays the reference point in the center point of an arc, or the center point of a round hole included in an object on the footprint. |
OFF | Does not display the reference point in the center point of an arc, or the center point of a round hole included in an object on the footprint. | |
Rectangle | ON | Displays the reference point on the vertices or on the center point of a rectangle that encloses all figures on the footprint. |
OFF | Does not display the reference point on the vertices or on the center point of a rectangle that encloses all figures on the footprint. | |
Vertices | ON | Displays the reference points in the vertices positions on an object (area or slot hole) on the footprint. |
OFF | Does not display the reference points in the vertices positions on an object (area or slot hole) on the footprint. |
3D Model
Item | Description | |
---|---|---|
Reverse | Reverses the display of the 3D model dimensions. | |
Origin | ON | Displays the reference point in the local origin of a 3D model. |
OFF | Does not display the reference point in the local origin of a 3D model. | |
Center point of polygon | ON | Displays the reference point in the center point of a polygon of a 3D model, extracted from the coordinates of the vertices. |
OFF | Does not display the reference point in the center point of a polygon of a 3D model, extracted from the coordinates of the vertices. | |
Center point of arc | ON | Displays the reference point in the center point of a circle or an arc on a 3D model. |
OFF | Does not display the reference point in the center point of a circle or an arc on a 3D model. | |
Bounding box | ON | Displays the reference points in the vertices and the center point of a bounding box that encloses a 3D model, and the center point of the surface that configures a bounding box. |
OFF | Does no display the reference points in the vertices and the center point of a bounding box that encloses a 3D model, and the center point of the surface that configures a bounding box. | |
Vertices | ON | Displays the reference points in the vertices positions of a 3D model. |
OFF | Does not display the reference points in the vertices positions of a 3D model. |
