A 3D model can be aligned to the footprint using the Align 3D Model dialog. Launch this dialog by clicking 3D Model > 3D Model > Align on the Footprint Editor ribbon.
Command dialog
The Align 3D Model dialog contains the following fields.
Footprint

| Center point of area fill | ON | Displays the reference point in the center point of the area
of an object (padstack, pad, area, or slot hole) on the footprint. For an area, the reference points are displayed in the position corresponding to the lower limit and the upper limit, respectively. |

| Center point of arc | ON | Displays the reference point in the center point of an arc, or the center point of a round hole included in an object on the footprint. |
