Improved in Version 2024.0: Various Net/Bus

The eCADSTAR Schematic Editor has had various improvements made to the Net/Bus operations in 2024.0. These are listed below:

Bus Improvements

• When adding a bus using the Add Bus tool, the bus label can now be defined, either by typing or selecting and existing bus label.

 

 

Net Improvements

• When adding a net using the Add Net tool, the net label can now be defined by selecting an existing net label.

 

 

Net/Bus Improvements

• When adding a net using the Add Net tool, the net label can now be defined automatically based on the start\end point and with the following priority:
• Bus start- next unused in bit order
• Bus end- next unused in bit order
• Pin start- pin label
• pin end - pin label

 

 

• When adding a net or bus using either the Add Net or Add Bus tool, the user can now choose to terminate the net or bus with a symbol. This can either be Power, Ground, Sheet Connectors, Global Connectors or Hierarchical Connectors.

 

 

• When changing a Net or Bus Label in the Properties Panel, you can now choose to affect just the selection of the whole circuit.

 

 

• When a single net is selected in the Net/Bus Label tool, the dialog now displays a Reference source and Filter control to make it easier to select the desired labels.

• Reference source of "Selected items" displays labels related to the selection (No change in behavior from 2023).
• Reference source of "Whole circuit" displays labels from all sheets within the design.
