The contents of the Component Settings dialog are described below. This dialog allows you to configure the placement of the decoupling capacitors (decaps) and jumpers that you select in the library. It is displayed by clicking Component Settings in the Rule Editor Dialog, in eCADSTAR Library Editor.
Part list

Allows you to exclude parts from being used as decoupling capacitors (decaps) or jumpers. For a part that is selected in the Part column of the Decoupling capacitor or Jumper tab, this button moves it to the Part list box. |
Decoupling Capacitor Tab
Allows you to set the rules that are referenced by default when placing the decoupling capacitors (decaps) that you select from the Part list box.

| Permitted Placement Side | Set the permitted placement side for decoupling capacitors
(decaps). The following values can be selected.

| Permitted Placement Angle | Set the permitted placement angle for decoupling capacitors
(decaps). The following values can be selected.

| Number of Pins | Shows the number of pins in the part. |
| Value | If a capacitance value is set in the part, it is displayed. |
| Comment | If a comment is set in the part, it is displayed. |
Jumper Tab
Allows you to set the rules that are referenced by default when placing the jumpers that you select from the Part list box.

Note
- If parts that do not exist in the library have been set for decoupling capacitors (decaps) or jumpers, an error mark is displayed for each corresponding part name.
- The settings in the design data can be viewed and changed in the Constraint Browser, Parts tab.
