Property Table
The Property table in Component Browser allows you to edit the property values that are associated with a circuit or schematic sheet. User-defined attributes can also be edited, which are specified in the Attribute Manager dialog. Properties in the table can be edited as follows.
Typing a Value Using the Keyboard
Click a cell to select it, and type in a new value.
Changing Multiple Values Simultaneously
- Select multiple cells by dragging the mouse, or using the Ctrl or Shift keys.
- Type in a new value and press Return on the keyboard. The value is added to all the selected cells.
Entering Values from a List
- If the values in a cell can be selected from a list, click in the cell to display the drop-down arrow.
- Click the arrow to display the items that can be selected in the cell.
- Click a displayed item to select it.
Copying Values using the Fill Handle
- Click a cell to select it. A fill handle is displayed
at the lower-right of the selected cell. This is illustrated below.
- Drag the fill handle into the cells in which the value will be added. The value in the selected cell is copied to the newly-selected cells.
- If you select a single cell that contains numeric data, sequential data can be added by dragging the fill handle while pressing the Ctrl key.
- If you select multiple cells that contain sequential numeric data:
- The sequence is continued by dragging the fill handle.
- The sequence is copied to newly-selected cells by dragging the fill handle while pressing the Ctrl key.
Filtering Values
Enter a value in the <Filter> cell to filter the relevant column. See: Filtering Displayed Values in eCADSTAR Tables
Note
- For a multi-gated part, the Fitted attribute that you specify is applied to all gate components that are variants of it. The Undo and Redo commands apply to all the gate components.
- If you change the Reference Designator value for a gate component, then the value is updated for all parts in the design with that Reference Designator value.
