Setting an Output

Select the required output medium using the Output drop-down list.

PDF

If you select PDF, the following fields and options become available.

Item Description
Output each page If selected, outputs each page of the plot as a separate PDF file.
Output all to one file If selected, outputs all pages of the plot as one PDF file.
Output folder Specify the folder to save the PDF files to. Only available if you have selected Output each page.
Browse to the folder to which the PDF files are to be saved.
Output file Specify the file name for the PDF file. Only available if you have selected Output all to one file.
Browse to the file to which the PDF files are to be saved.
Create bookmarks for components If selected, creates a PDF bookmark for each component.
Compress If selected, compresses the PDF output to give the smallest file size.
Use transparency If selected, transparency of a fill used to plot layer objects.

Vector Format

If you select Vector Format, the following field becomes available.

Item Description
Output folder Specify the folder to save the Vector files to.
Browse to the folder to which the Vector files are to be saved.

<Printer Name>

If you select any of the defined printers, the following fields and options become available.

Item Description
Output to file If selected, specifies that the plot is to be saved as a file, rather than sent directly to the specified printer.
Output folder Specify the folder to save the printer file to. Only available if Output to file is selected.
Browse to the folder to which the printer files are to be saved. Only available if Output to file is selected.

Setting Paper Size

Select the required paper size using the Size drop-down list.

Item Description
Size Pre-defined (JIS A, JIS B, ANSI) Specifies to use one of the predefined paper sizes.
Custom Specifies to use a custom paper size. You must set the Width and Height parameters.
Auto Specifies that the paper size used depends on the dimensions of the output plot.
Width   Specify the width of the paper to be used. Only available if Custom is selected.
Height   Specify the height of the paper to be used. Only available if Custom is selected.
Orientation Landscape If selected, sets the plot to landscape orientation.
Portrait If selected, sets the plot to portrait orientation.
Auto If selected, automatically sets the plot to the most appropriate orientation.
Margin Top Sets the margin at the top of the output page.
Bottom Sets the margin at the bottom of the output page.
Left Sets the margin at the left of the output page.
Right Sets the margin at the right of the output page.

Setting Coordinates

Specify the coordinates for the plot output.

Item Description
Specify plot area Selected Allows you to specify the area to be plotted.
Not selected Specifies that the entire canvas is to be plotted.
Start point X Specify the X coordinate of the start point of the plot area. Only available if Specify plot area is selected.
Y Specify the Y coordinate of the start point of the plot area. Only available if Specify plot area is selected.
End point X Specify the X coordinate of the end point of the plot area. Only available if Specify plot area is selected.
Y Specify the Y coordinate of the end point of the plot area. Only available if Specify plot area is selected.
Rotate   Specify the angle of rotation for the outputted data.
Scale (Auto) Selected Automatically scales the outputted data to fit the size specified in the Paper section (excluding margins).
Not selected No scaling is performed.
Factor   Specify a number by which the outputted data is to be scaled.
Adjust position (Auto) Selected If selected, the center of the outputted data is located at the center of the paper (excluding margins).
Not selected If not selected, you can specify the relative position of the outputted data using the X-axis and Y-axis fields.
X-axis   Specify the distance in the X direction that the outputted data is offset by.
Y-axis   Specify the distance in the Y direction that the outputted data is offset by.

Outputting Pages

In the Pages panel, select the Output check box next to the page(s) you want on the plot.

Changing the Order of Pages

Select the Page name cell of the page to be reordered in the page list.

Top Click the Top button to move the selected page to the top of the list.

Up Click the Up button to move the selected page one level up.

Down Click the Down button to move the selected page one level down.

Bottom Click the Bottom button to move the selected page to the bottom of the list.
