Exporting ODB++ Data

The following procedures describe how to export ODB++ data from a design, export the settings from the Output (ODB++) dialog, and import settings from a file to the Output (ODB++)dialog.

Exporting ODB++ data

Export ODB++ data from a design as follows.

  1. On the ribbon, click Manufacture > Manufacture Output > ODB++. The Output (ODB++) dialog is displayed.
  2. In the ODB++ destination folder box, specify the location of the folder into which the ODB++ file is exported.
  3. In the ODB++ job name box, specify the job name associated with the exported data. By default, the name of the PCB design is displayed.
  4. In the ODB++ format version box, select the ODB++ version to export to.
  5. In the Specify Layer and Others tabs, set the parameters for exporting ODB++ data.

Note
In the Specify Layer tab, you can specify whether drill data for plated holes in padstacks is also output for each individual layer, rather than just outputting drill data for the defined layer spans. See: Output (ODB++) Dialog.

  1. Click Execute to start the export.

Exporting Settings

The settings that you specify in the Output (ODB++) dialog can be exported to a file as follows.

  1. Set the parameters in the Output (ODB++) dialog.
  2. Click Export parameters. The Save As dialog is displayed.
  3. In the Save As dialog, set the location and file name for the exported file and click Save. The parameters are saved to the specified file.

Importing Settings

Settings can be loaded into the Output (ODB++) dialog as follows.

  1. Click Import parameters in the Output (ODB++) dialog. The Open dialog is displayed.
  2. In the Open dialog, select a file and click Open. The parameters in the selected file are set in the Output (ODB++) dialog.
