Pasting an Object from the Clipboard

The Paste command in Footprint Editor places an object that is stored on the Clipboard at the position specified on the active layer.

  1. Press Ctrl + V. Alternatively, click Home > Clipboard > Paste from Buffer Paste on the ribbon. The pasted object is in the dragged state.
  2. To change the drag reference point to a vertex of the object, click Drag Reference Point (Vertex) on the assist menu.
  3. To flip the object around the X axis, click Flip Verticallyon the assist menu.
  4. To rotate 90°, 180° or 270°, click Rotate 90, Rotate 180 or Rotate 270 respectively on the assist menu.
  5. To rotate an object by the angle indicated by Rotation step in the command dialog, click Rotate by Specified Angle on the assist menu.
  1. Change the active layer to one on which to input the object. See: Active Layer.
  1. To paste the object, specify the coordinates.

Note
  • You cannot enter objects that cannot be entered on the active layer. Always enter padstacks while maintaining the original layer.
  • If you select more than one consecutive segment in a single line and paste them after running Cut to Clipboard or Copy to Clipboard, the segments that you enter become different lines.
  • This command  is only available in 2D View mode.
