For a part that is currently being edited in Part Editor, the Save As dialog allows you to save the part using a different name. This dialog is displayed by selecting File > Save As on the Part Editor ribbon. The part is added to the Parts table in the Library Editor panel, Parts tab, and is locked.
When you successfully save a part using another name, the lock is removed from the original part and the new part is locked. However, if the new part name already exists and is being edited by another user, then the Save As command is canceled and an error message is shown.
