The Comparison Result dialog shows the differences between the design rules specified in the Rule Editor dialog, and the design rules specified in the Compare Design Rules dialog, Design rule library box. It is shown when you click Execute in the Compare Design Rules dialog.

| Diff | Displays or hides items for which the design rules are different. | ||
| A Only | Displays or hides items for a design rule that is set in the Rule Editor dialog but not set in the target design rule. | ||
| B Only | Displays or hides items for a design rule that is set in the target design rule, but not set in the Rule Editor dialog. | ||
| Comparison Result table | For each item in the Rule Editor dialog, the specified value is compared with the corresponding item, if it exists, in the design rule that you set in the Compare Design Rules dialog. The results are shown in the Comparison result column. | ||
| Item | Displays the items that are in each tab in the Rule Editor dialog. | ||
| A:[Design rule (Design rule library/Design)] | Displays the value that you set in the Rule Editor dialog for the associated item in the Comparison Result dialog. | ||
| B:[Design rule (Design rule library)] | For each item in the Rule Editor dialog, the corresponding value is displayed, if it exists in the design rule specified in the Compare Design Rules dialog. | ||
| Comparison result | Equal: | the design rules are identical. | |

| A only: | the design rule is only present in the design rule being edited. | ||
| B only: | the design rule is only present in the target design rule. | ||
| Save as | Saves the comparison results. Specify a location and name in the Save As dialog. | ||
| Close | Closes the Comparison Result dialog without saving the comparison results. | ||
