Minimum File Requirements for the eCADSTAR Viewers

Because Base Mode is the only licensing mode that is supported by eCADSTAR Schematic Viewer and eCADSTAR PCB Viewer, not all files associated with a design are required when opening a design in these viewers. This topic lists the folders and files that are required as a minimum for each application.

eCADSTAR Schematic Viewer

The following design folders and files are required to open a design in eCADSTAR Schematic Viewer.

Item		Description
Folder	[Design_Name].sct	The drc, frame, log and output folders are located within the .sct folder, and must be present when using eCADSTAR Schematic Viewer. However, these folders do not need to contain any files. The .sst file within the [Design_Name].sct folder refers to the sheets, and is required when opening a design.
	local	Contains the resource library, the localized symbols for the library, and the resource files that are required when creating new schematic designs and sheets. This folder and the files within it are required when using eCADSTAR Schematic Viewer.
File	enetdb	This file contains the definitions and constraint information for the nets, enets and differential pairs in the schematic design.
	version.bin	The version.bin file contains the version of eCADSTAR in which the relevant design was created or updated in.
	[Design_Name].sdes	The relevant design file.

eCADSTAR PCB Viewer

Only the following design file is required to open a design in eCADSTAR PCB Viewer. No folders are required.
