eCADSTAR PCB Editor: Analysis Tab

The following Analysis commands can be launched from the Analysis tab in eCADSTAR PCB Editor.

Value   Description
SI   The SI section in the eCADSTAR PCB Editor menu allows you to launch the following SI commands.
Extract Scenario Allows you to open the routing topology for a signal that you select on the canvas in eCADSTAR PCB Editor. The topology is opened in Electrical Editor. This allows you to perform speculative analysis of the signal.
Extraction Options Displays the Extraction Options dialog. This allows you to set the extraction conditions for the topology that is displayed in Electrical Editor.
SI Analysis Performs SI Analysis for the signals that you select on the canvas in eCADSTAR PCB Editor. The results are automatically displayed in the Analysis Result Viewer.
Extraction Options See Extraction Options, above.
Simulator Options Displays the Simulator Options dialog. This allows you to set the simulator options for SI analysis.
Crosstalk Options Displays the Crosstalk Options dialog. This allows you to set the conditions for crosstalk analysis.
TDR Analysis For the signals that you select on the canvas, TDR analysis is performed by automatically replacing the driver and receiver with the system conditions. See: Performing TDR Analysis. The Analysis Result Viewer is then displayed.
Extraction Options See Extraction Options, above.
TDR Analysis Options Displays the TDR Analysis Options dialog. This allows you to specify analysis options for TDR.
FD Analysis The FD Analysis (Frequency Domain Analysis) command allows you to confirm signal path characteristics. The analysis is executed by automatically replacing drivers and receivers with system conditions. See: Executing FD Analysis. The results are automatically displayed in the Analysis Result Viewer.
Extraction Options Displays the Extraction Options dialog. This allows you to set the extraction conditions for the topology that is displayed in Electrical Editor.
FD Simulator Options Displays the Simulator Options dialog.
PI/EMI   The PI/EMI section in the eCADSTAR PCB Editor menu allows you to launch the following PI/EMI commands.
PI/EMI Analysis Launches the eCADSTAR PI/EMI Analysis Module. This provides analysis capabilities for board-level EMI, Power Integrity and DC issues on circuit boards.
PI/EMI Analysis Heatmap Launches the PI/EMI Analysis Heatmap dialog. This allows you to configure the display of the PI/EMI analysis results that are shown on the canvas.
