Add Pin
The Add Pin command allows you to place pins on a symbol. It is launched by selecting Home > Pin > Add Pin on the Symbol Editor ribbon. You can also launch this command from eCADSTAR Schematic Editor by right-clicking a block component on the canvas, and then clicking Edit Block Symbol on the assist menu. The symbol for the selected block is opened in Symbol Editor.

When you add a pin using this command, the Pin Label and Pin Number property viewers are added to canvas. Their origin is set automatically according to the position of the pin, and the available space. The Origin value that is set in the Application Settings dialog, Display Settings section is not referred to. In the following example, showing two pins, the property viewers were added to either the left or right of the relevant pin, according to its position on the canvas.

You can change the origin of a property viewer by clicking it on the canvas, and then selecting a value in the Properties Panel, Origin row.
