The STEP Export dialog allows you to create a STEP model from the board data, using STEP versions AP203 or AP214. Creating a STEP model, which users the CAD file format, enables board data to be used in mechanical packages.

| File | Shows the path to the STEP file that is exported. By default, the STEP file is created using the .stp file extension, in the same location and with the same name as the current design. |

Displays the Save As dialog. Define the location, name and file type of the STEP file that is exported, and click Save. The STEP file can be saved using the .stp and .step file extensions. |
| Edit parameters | Displays the Edit Parameters dialog. This dialog allows you to specify parameters for the exported STEP file. It also allows you to import previously-saved parameters, and save the parameters that you specify. |
| Execute | Creates the STEP file that you specify in the File box. |
| Cancel | Closes the STEP Export dialog without creating a STEP file. |
