The Import (IDF) dialog
allows you to import the outlines of boards, keepout and limit areas,
component placement coordinates, and other information from an IDF file.
IDF versions 2.0 and 3.0 can be imported. This dialog is displayed by
clicking Design > Import > 
IDF on the eCADSTAR PCB Editor
ribbon.

| File | Shows the path to an IDF file to import. |

Shows the Open dialog. Specify the IDF file to import and click Open. |
| Edit parameters | Shows the Edit Parameters Dialog. This dialog allows you to configure, import and save the parameters for importing an IDF file. |
| Execute | Imports the IDF file that is specified in the file box. |
| Cancel | Closes the Import (IDF) dialog without importing an IDF file. |
Note
If you import a shape that intersects itself, then the areas that intersect are removed and only the largest area of the self-intersecting shape is imported.
