The following procedure describes how to open a design
data file.
- On the File tab, click Open > Design Data. The Open dialog is displayed.
- In the Open dialog, browse to the folder that includes the relevant data.
- Confirm that the filter is set to Data (*.pdes).
- Select a data file to edit, or enter a file name and click Open. To open the file as Read only, click the down arrow, to the right of the Open button, and select Open as read-only.

Recently-accessed files can be opened by selecting Recent in the File tab. However, if the selected file or folder cannot be accessed, an error is displayed. This occurs if it has been deleted or an invalid network password has been entered.
