Adding a Diameter or Radius Dimension Line
The following procedures describe how to add a diameter or radius dimension line to the drawing layer of the active layer in eCADSTAR PCB Editor. Before you add a dimension line, make the drawing layer visible, as follows.
- In the Layer
Settings panel, select
Visible drawing layer in the Drawing layer section. To display this column in the Layer View table, select Show in grid in the Drawing layer section.
- For the relevant layer in the Layer
Settings panel, Layer name column,
select the
Visible drawing layer check box.
Adding a Dimension Line (Diameter)
Add a diameter dimension line to a circle or semicircle object as follows.
- On the ribbon, click Draw
> Dimension Line >
Diameter. Alternatively, click Home > Dimension > Add >
Diameter.
- Specify a circle or semicircle object for which to add a dimension line. The dimension line is applied.
Target objects
The following are valid target objects:
- Line
- Area fill
- Meshplane
- Height limit area
- Rule area
- Component area
- Pad
- Padstack
- Round hole
- Slot hole

The following items can be selected by right-clicking the mouse:

Add a radius dimension line to a circle or semicircle object, as follows.
- On the ribbon, click Draw
> Dimension Line >
Radius. Alternatively, click Home > Dimension > Add >
Radius.
- Specify a circle or semicircle object for which to add the dimension line. The dimension line is applied.

- Line
- Area fill
- Meshplane
- Height limit area
- Rule area
- Component area
- Pad
- Padstack
- Round hole
- Slot hole
Assist menu
The following items can be selected by right-clicking the mouse:
Command dialog
- The above commands are only available in 2D View mode.
- A pad for area fill or line can only be selected when it contains one arc.
- If a pad contains multiple figures, any of them could be selected.
